What we collect

When you create a ChartsQuest account we collect your email address (for sign-in), an optional display name, your chosen language, your learning progress, and minimal usage events used to improve the platform.

How we use it

We use your data to operate your account, deliver the educational content, remember your progress and preferences, and analyse aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to train third-party AI systems.

Ads and cookies

ChartsQuest is free to use; some pages display ads through Google AdSense and the Resources directory includes affiliate links. These third parties (Google AdSense, DoubleClick, AdSense Auto Ads) may set their own cookies or use device identifiers in your browser to deliver and measure ads, and to limit ad repetition. We do not control those cookies — they are governed by Google's own policies. You can review and adjust how Google personalises ads at Google Ads Settings and learn more about the data Google collects at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

We also use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in sessions (sb-* from Supabase) and your chosen language (cq_locale). These are first-party, do not track you across sites, and cannot be disabled without breaking sign-in.

If you have enabled an analytics or advertising integration through the admin panel, those scripts may set additional cookies — those are governed by the policies of their providers.

AI-assisted content

Some ChartsQuest content (articles, lessons, scenarios) may be created, edited, or accelerated with the assistance of AI tools. We aim for accuracy and will correct errors when notified. AI assistance is on the publisher side — your personal data is not sent to AI providers as part of routine product use.

Account deletion and your data rights

You can request account deletion from your Account page at any time. Deletion enters a 20-day recovery window during which you can cancel and return to your account. After 20 days, your personal profile data, learning progress, and preferences will be permanently deleted or anonymized.

Some records may be retained beyond the 20-day window where required by law or for legitimate business reasons: security and fraud-prevention logs, and records necessary for resolving any open dispute. Where we retain such records, we keep them as long as legally required and not longer.

If the law applicable to you (such as GDPR or California's CCPA) grants you additional rights — for example to access, correct, port, or opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your data — you can exercise them by emailing the contact address on the Contact page. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
